Starting Out - unsure if it's for you?

How The Halfling Project can help.

The Halfling Project is a not for profit venture within Wildven.

It is set to find and help new talent find themselves, and prepare them on the early steps towards formal  training and working in the industry or simply to enjoy performance.

It sets no experience requirements other than a strong level of enthusiasm.

It is an autism friendly work - understanding the special needs and the enormous potential benefits to an autistic boy or young man by using performance and photography / audio video media.

It has a very simple approach, and is kept both informal and fun.

Shot mainly within an old railway station - at the Wildven office it does away with  the conventional  studio environment.

This is where techniques of working with the camera begin with a whole new discovery of themselves through images and video.

This is not in itself acting training, but many of the techniques come from acting and performance.

Not everyone wants to be an actor, some want to explore modelling, some are into sports or dance.

The Halfling Project is about building up self confidence and performance range - it's about self discovery - it's about you.

Age range can be from around 5 to 25, and open to males and mixed groups at this time.

The project is parent friendly and encourages full involvement from the parents if they wish to take part . Usual child protection requirements regarding parental attendance apply.
